Second year Basketball 2013-14

ST OLIVER'S 31 - 26 DUNSHAUGHLIN 07-02-14

The second year boys basketball team travelled to Dunshaughlin in a knock out round of their league. St Olivers had a very strong start with the majority of points coming from Y.Ochegbulem and J. Carroll in the first quarter. The high spirit faded slightly when Dunshaughlin started to pull back into the game in the second quarter. It became clear that they were basically a one man team with all of their points coming from their no.11. From here on it was a tight game with St Oliver's on top marginally. When it came to the 4th quarter tensions ran high with St Oliver's pulling away with baskets from O.Ogunjimi mainly and J. Carrol. It remained like this until the last minute when no.11 scored 2 straight 3 pointers that brought them back within 5 points but to no avail as St Oliver's kept their cool and held on to win 31-26 Well Done Lads!!
