Athletics 2017-18


St. Oliver's students who competed in the 30th Annual Cross Country Event in St. Joseph's School, Drogheda.

  1. Abi Tegart won silver in the Over 15 girls race
  2. The girls over 15 team who won bronze in the team event: Abi Tegart, Fiona Ogunde, Michelle Sodiya and Shubomi Oladimeji.
  3. Pharez Ogunde and Rosalinda Cakraj who competed in the Under 15 girls race.
  4. The under 14 boys team: Liam McCormack, Dylan McCarthy, Daniel Martin, Aldas Kazabaraitis and Lucky Bello
  5. The under 14 girls team: Favour Obama, Godiva Oboh, Louise Sodiya and Promice Adesokan


Meath Country Athletics Event at Navan Track

Pictured are the St. Oliver’s athletes who competed in the various events at Navan track on 13/4/2018.  They were Promise Adesokan, Favour Obama, Aaron McCabe, Anthony Dillon, Ome Esajobor, Subomi Oladimeji, Mariam Adebowale, Fiona Ogunde, Kate Kelly, and Abi Taggart.
Kate Kelly won silver in the u15 shot putt. Anthony Dillon was 2nd in the u17 100m, losing by a fraction and Abi Taggart took the bronze medal in the u17 1500m


North Leinster Track & Field

Mariam Adebowale, Michelle Sodiya, Subomi Oladimeji and Kate Kelly at the North Leinster Track & Field event in Morton Stadium, Santry,  Kate won Gold in the U-15 Javlin and silver in shot putt.


Leinster Athletics Finals

Second year student, Kate Kelly won a gold and silver medal at the Leinster Athletics Finals in Morton Stadium.  She won the u15 girls Javelin with a throw of 30.40m and was second in the Shot Putt with a throw of 10.74m.  Kate will now compete in the All-Ireland Schools Athletics finals in Tullamore on 2nd of June.
