Development Education 2019-20

St. Oliver's Community College has been awarded WorldWise Global School’s Diplomatic Passport Award for established engagement with Global Citizenship Education (GCE).
This is the school's second award after receiving the Citizen's Passport in 2018 for emerging work in GCE.
The Global Passport Award is an acknowledgement and recognition of the school’s contribution, dedication and diligence in implementing GCE into all aspects of teaching and learning. St. Oliver’s CC has played and continues to play a key role in promoting quality values and principles that reflect a very positive GCE practice. This includes bringing global issues into many subjects, dedicated TY modules and working with various outside organisations on many campaigns and projects such as Sonairte's "Youth for Change".

The school was due to receive the award at WorldWise Global School’s Annual Student Conference on April 2nd in Cork, which was cancelled due to Covid-19. We will now receive the Award at the Annual Symposium for School Management on November 11th in Iveagh House, Dublin.
