Show racism the red card 2017-18

On November 22nd, St Oliver’s TY build a bank team, titled ‘Take Flight Bank’, proudly hosted the second annual wear red day in the school. This is a nationwide initiative in which secondary school students from across the country come together and wear red in order to show their stance on stopping racism. All of the money collected during the event will be donated to the show racism the red card charity, which aims to tackle racism through advertisements and courses.
On behalf of the members of the bank, I would like to thank all the teachers & students who took part in the fundraiser and to all those who donated. A special mention also to Ms McEntee for her assistance in the preparation and running of the event.
Take Flight Bank will launch at the TY enterprise fair on December 15th, watch out around the school for announcements and information regarding the bank!
