…I am absent from school for a day/number of days?
Parent/Guardian writes a note in the school journal. Note is shown to Tutor on return to school. A medical cert can be shown to school tutor, if appropriate and relevant.
…I have to leave school early for an appointment?
Parent/Guardian writes a note in the school journal in advance of the appointment. Note is shown to Tutor on the morning of the appointment and will sign the note giving permission. Student should show the signed note to the teacher of the class they are in and go to Reception at the agreed time. Parent/Guardian must sign out student at Reception.
No student can leave the school building or campus without being signed out by a parent/guardian or designated adult.
…I am arriving to school late after an appointment?
Parent/Guardian writes a note in the school journal explaining late arrival to school due to appointment.
Student should tag in with their student ID or code on arriving to school. Student shows the note to the teacher of the class upon arrival and to their Tutor in the next class with them.
…I am feeling sick at school?
Let you teacher know that you are feeling unwell. The student will be instructed to contact the attendance officer before 1230pm and they will contact home to arrange for the student to be collected if that is advised. After 1230pm, student can request from Yearhead or a Deputy Principal to make contact with home to arrange for collection.
*In line with the current COVID guidelines, a student may be directed to the designated isolation room until they are collected by a parent/guardian.
…I forgot my lunch?
Our school canteen has at least two free meals for students every day, at least one of which will be vegetarian. Fruit is also available free of charge and students can top up their drinks bottles at the filtered water stations throughout the building.
